Rodolfo Vera Quizon (July 25, 1928 - July 10, 2012) popularly known as Dolphy and Pidol passed away at the age of 83.
He was born in Calle Padre Herrera, Tondo, Manila and started performing onstage during the Japanese occupation.
His talent for comedy and years of work on stage, radio, tv and the movies earned for him the title the King of Comedy.
President Benigno S. Aquino’s administration bestowed to him the Grand Collar of the Order of the Golden Heart in 2010 for his contribution to the Philippine showbiz industry.
