AUGUST 16, 1911
Teodora Morales Alonso Realonda y Quintos (November 9, 1827 - August 16, 1911) died in her house at San Fernando St., Binondo.
Born in Manila, she married Francisco Mercado-Rizal and lived a prosperous life in Calamba with their children Paciano, Saturnina, Narcisa, Olympia, Luisa, Maria, Concepcion, Josefa, Jose, Trinidad and Soledad.
She was imprisoned by the Spanish authorities for the false charge of poisoning her brother’s wife and was made to walk fifty kilometers for not using her hispanicized surname Realonda de Rizal, instead of Alonso.
