AUGUST 20, 1939
Ronald Allan Kelley Poe (August 20, 1939 – December 14, 2004), known as Fernando Poe, Jr. was born in San Carlos City, Pangasinan. FPJ or Da King as he was also called, won numerous awards as an actor and director.
He married actress Susan Roces and is the father of Senator Grace Poe.
In 1961, Fernando Poe Jr. established FPJ Productions that produced his blockbuster movies.
He ran for president but lost against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2004 but the result was believed fraudulent.
As King of Philippine Movies, FPJ was declared National Artist for Film.
