AUGUST 14, 1866
Fernando Gonzales Calderon (August 14, 1866 - February 7, 1948), a physician, revolutionary leader and educator was born in Santa Cruz de Malabon.
The elder brother of Felipe Calderon, the Father of the Malolos Constitution, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at Ateneo in 1885 and earned his licensure in medicine in 1891 at the University of Santo Tomas.
During the Philippine-American war, Gen. Vicente Lukban appointed him as leader of Ormoc’s revolutionary junta.
He was U.P. College of Medicine’s dean and director of the Philippine General Hospital.
