Philippine Folklores and Legends: Amihan

A new definitive stamp featuring Amihan was issued by the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) on September 28, 2012 for the Philippine Folklores and Legends series.

The P7 stamp has for its design the goddess Amihan who is the personification of the Northeast Wind. She is often represented as a beautiful, long-haired woman who brings cool breezes and safety to fishermen and seafarers, as long as they please her with their good hearts.

Nemi Miranda Jr., NCCA did the stamp's design while the layout was by Victor Serevo.

The Philippine Presidents Collection

I love to collect philatelic items featuring the Philippine Presidents.

As a way of sharing the complete images of the country's chief executives, I decided to come out with a new site for stamp lovers who collect the subject.

Happy Birthday Mama Mary!

Here's the world's first stamp that featured the Blessed Virgin Mary. This was issued in Bavaria on February 14, 1920. Happy birthday Mama Mary and thanks for always being there for me in my life!
