Vietnam Post comes up with a stamp on January 27, 2023 commemorating the Paris Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam (Paris Peace Accords).
January 27, is also the date on which the document was signed fifty years ago.
The stamp, designed by Vietnam Post artist Nguyen Du, features the image of the four parties involved around a giant table as part of their roundtable discussion at the Kléber International Convention Centre in France.
The image has the brown-yellow-black tone, instead of its original black and white colour, to reflect the tense atmosphere of the event.
Earlier on January 27, 1975, Vietnam Post issued two stamps featuring the historic event titled 2nd Anniversary of Paris Agreement on Vietnam.
The Paris Peace Accords was signed on January 27, 1973 by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, the Republic of Vietnam, and the United States.
