Martin Ocampo (publisher), Teodoro Kalaw (editor-in-chief), Lope Santos, Faustino Aguilar, Leoncio Liquete, Manuel Palma, Arcadio Arellano, Angel Jose, Galo Lichauco, Felipe Barreto, Gregorio Casipit and Fidel Reyes (editorial writer) were meted out prison sentences, fines and damages by Judge J. C. Jenkins for the editorial “Aves de Rapiña” (Birds of Prey) in ”El Renacimiento and Muling Pagsilang" newspapers founded by Raphael Palma.
Felipe Agoncillo was their lawyer. The libel suit was filed by Dean Conant Worcester, the Secretary of Interior.
