World Stamp Today:
JANUARY 20, 2023
The United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) issues a special-event stamp sheet on January 20, 2023, to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The sheet consists of 10 stamps with a denomination of 1.40 US dollars each, and with a gongbi-style (meticulous painting) white rabbit against the background of a golden moon surrounded by clouds.
Tiger Pan of China did the artwork, who also illustrated the Lunar Calendar series for 2022 and 2018.
The Chinese Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, is the most important holiday for Chinese around the world and this year's Spring Festival which is the Year of the Rabbit falls on January 22.
