Valentine's Day is a special day celebrated every 14th of February. A celebration that speaks about love. Love in very aspect of life. Love for God, family, friends, etc. But this special day is most celebrated by lovers as they express their love in their own different ways.

It is expressed by colorful and fragrant flowers that will serenade the heart of the recipient. Heart-shaped gift items, food items such as chocolates and balloons are given to loved ones to celebrate their affections.

Another way of expressing one's love is through writing a love letter. Love letters have long been part of human history to communicate love, emotions and sincerity of intentions. A silent witness of how love survived and lived through the years.

Distant relatives, friendss and young lovers send valentine cards or letters to show that they are remembered even in far away places. These cards or letters sent through mail, are most of the time kept through the years for sentimental reasons.

The Philippine Postal Corporation join in the celebration of this occasion merrily. Gift items like those mentioned above are sold at the main lobby of the Post Office Building in Manila. A special delivery program dubed "Postman who also delivers flowers" implements the delivery of gift items to loved ones within Valentine's Day itself, if the customer beats the prescribed cut-off delivery time.
