Royal Mail's Ancient Britain

Royal Mail released on January 17, 2017, a collection of eight stamps dubbed as Ancient Britain, which spans thousands of years, from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. 

The stamps included designs of The Battersea Shield, The Star Carr headdress, Skara Brae village in the Orkney Islands, Scotland Grime's Graves flint mines, Norfolk Avebury stone circles, Wiltshire Mold Cape in Wales, The Drumbest horns found in Northern Ireland, and Maiden Castle hill fort in Dorset. 

Manchester-based studio True North designed the stamps with London artist/illustrator Rebecca Strickson.
