Today in Philippine History: Philippine Airlines

MARCH 15, 1941
Philippine Airlines (PAL) flies the skies with a twin-engine, five-seater Beech Model 18 aircraft from Nielsen airfield in Makati to Baguio. Considered as the first and oldest commercial airline in Asia and the flag carrier of the Philippines, PAL serves numerous destinations in the country as well as in other parts of the world.
