New Zealand Remembers ANZAC

The third stamp release of New Zealand Post's ANZAC series has Remembrance as a theme. It serves as a reminder for its citizens to honour the extraordinary courage, loyalty and tenacity of those who fought for freedom during the Gallipoli Campaign in World War I where 2,721 New Zealand soldiers died.

Anzac Day was designated in 1916 to remind the people of New Zealand of this wartime event.

The six ANZAC 2010 stamps are released today, April 7, 2010 by New Zealand Post.
