Mary MacKillop, Australia's First Saint

Mary MacKillop (15 January 1842 - 8 August 1909), popularly known as Mother Mary of the Cross is the first Australian to become a saint. Her canonisation ceremony takes place in the Vatican on October 17, 2010 with different services to be held across Australia to commemorate the event.

Australia Post releases on April 6, 2010 a postage-paid envelope featuring Mary MacKillop. The design was done by Adam Crapp.
