SEPTEMBER 12, 1896
Thirteen Katipunan members, later called Los Trece Martires de Cavite (Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite) were put to death by musketry at Plaza de Armas outside Fort San Felipe in Cavite, days after Andres Bonifacio started the revolution.
Luís Aguado, Eugenio Cabezas, Feliciano Cabuco, Agapito Conchu, Alfonso de Ocampo, Máximo Gregorio, Máximo Inocencio, José Lallana, Severino Lapidario, Victoriano Luciano III, Francisco Osorio, Hugo Pérez and Antonio San Agustín were arrested after authorities learned of Emilio Aguinaldo’s plan to attack the Fort.
