The 25th Southeast Asian Games

Laos hosts for the first time this year's 25th Southeast Asian Games in Vientiane with eleven countries competing against each other in around 25 sports events.

The Philippines, considered as among the top contenders after proving to be the over-all champion in 2005 aims to garner 30 to 40 gold medals.

Lao National Post and Telecommunications Authority head Mr. Phueay Sadalom announced that they have come up with the "Put Your Own 25th SEA Games Stamp On It" that will be a perfect personalised souvenir for those seeking to preserve memories of the 25th SEA Games in Vientiane.

He further explains "Many people believe that stamps are only to be used for mailing letters through a post office, which of course is their primary function. However, they are also valued very highly by people who collect them.”

Update: Team Philippines hauled a total of 38 gold, 35 silver and 51 bronze medals.
