DECEMBER 11, 1941
Resolution No. 115 was passed by the National Assembly, which pledged support for the United States after Japanese Imperial forces attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
It also declared Manuel L. Quezon and Sergio OsmeƱa as winners of the presidential elections held in November.
The two later took their oath of office as president and vice president respectively of the Commonwealth of the Philippines in the island of Corregidor amidst the heavy bombardments in the country by Japanese planes.
