Pasko 2012


Pasko 2012, an annual stamp issue celebrating Christmas was released by the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) on November 20, 2012.

This year's  10P se-tenant pair carry popular Christmas scenes featuring “Simbang Gabi” or “Dawn Mass” and the “Belen” or Nativity Scene.

The Canonization of Blessed Pedro Calungsod


To celebrate the sainthood of Cebu's first saint and the Philippines' second, the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) issued the Canonization of Blessed Pedro Calungsod stamp on October 21, 2012.

This P9 stamp on stamp issue combines the design of the P5 Pedro Calungsod stamp released in the year 2000 highlighting his beatification, and the design from the souvenir sheet of the same issue depicting Marianas Island, the place of mission of the Cebuano martyr.

Manila Hotel, 100 Years


The Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) came out with a commemorative issue highlighting Manila Hotel's 100th Anniversary.

The P7 se-tenant block of 4 stamps designed by Rogelio Geronimo of the PR and Corporate Communications of Manila Hotel carry the following designs:

Stamp # 1 - Facade of Manila Hotel
Stamp # 2 - Maynila Ballroom
Stamp # 3 - MacArthur Suite
Stamp # 4 - Grand Lobby

Martha Herrera of Manila Hotel and Elenita D.L. San Diego acted as design coordinators.

Philippine Folklores and Legends: Amihan


A new definitive stamp featuring Amihan was issued by the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) on September 28, 2012 for the Philippine Folklores and Legends series.

The P7 stamp has for its design the goddess Amihan who is the personification of the Northeast Wind. She is often represented as a beautiful, long-haired woman who brings cool breezes and safety to fishermen and seafarers, as long as they please her with their good hearts.

Nemi Miranda Jr., NCCA did the stamp's design while the layout was by Victor Serevo.

Remembering 9/11

The whole world remembers today the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States.

The sheetlet featured here was issued by Grenada on October 26, 2011 to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the World Trade Center Bombings..
